Has anyone tried any natural methods for your COPD?

Has anyone tried any natural methods for your COPD?

Has anyone tried any natural methods for your COPD? If so, please let me know if any have worked at all please. I am currently on Spiriva and Symbicort and the out of pocket costs are ridiculous. Also the side effects on the Symbicort are not making me feel so hot. The symbicort also caused me to have severe anxiety and out of control eating issues. Is this normal? I mean, truly, I want to eat 24-7 and I never eat over 2000 calories a day. This is insane.

I have a doctor's appointment next month and have some questions to ask.

Right now I take Spriva once a day, in the am, and have a ProAir rescue inhaler. Upon activity, my oxygen level drops to 91-92 but after sitting for 2-3 minutes it goes back up to 94-95. I seem to be more sob than I was 6 months ago and I seem to be using the Proair more, however I am still able to walk the dog or walk with my grandchildren. I see my doctor next month and am just wondering if I should be on other medications. What do others… read more

Anyone experienced severe side effects from use of inhalers?

Anyone experienced severe side effects from use of inhalers?

Why is there so little discussion here of the side effects and dangers of both short and long term from the use of inhalers or even long term oxygen therapy? For example, did any doctor tell you that the use of Spiriva Respimat doubles the risk of cardiac arrest? I had my worst flare up on the first day of use. And I have stopped using ipraproprium bromide (Atrovent/Berodual) because after a couple of uses I get feelings of extreme weakness accompanied… read more

Any experiences with Trelegy Ellipta?

Any experiences with Trelegy Ellipta?

Has anyone used Trelegy Ellipta? I have tried Anoro which didn't work and currently using Symbicort which isn't working well either. In fact if I use Ipratropium/Albuterol 2X a day via Nebulizer it works better than Symicort...my plan will not cover Spiriva (Medicare D)...so, any experiences with Trelegy?

Spiriva Respimat and Symbicort which should i take first

Spiriva Respimat and Symbicort which should i take first

Not having a regular doctor doesn't help much so hoping some ideas from here.
I take one dose daily of the spiriva and one dose twice a day of the symbicort.

Which one do most take first? Any advantage of one over the other? Or does it make any difference?
