I think do to going to pulmonary rehab that the Recumbent bike would be good in fact the Recumbent/Eliptical combination would be good and it is very affordable. I also think regular exercising helps a lot too.

Walking agreed, the best, even without treadmill, outside adds other helps such as balance, you determine your speed, it is brain soothing being outside too. Stairs with 10 lbs on my back a super challenge. If nothing else walk- even if it is lying down and moving your legs - keep those big leg muscles strong- and arms too. Equipment is nice, but not necessary.

Back pats to all of you doing anything- at least moving some each effort gives some increase in quality of life- keeping it up as long (routine each week) for months does help - I delayed progression for 10 years and now... well, I slacked off a year or so and progression started up- so that is why I am 'striving' to do more, to hold to this new lower level - nothing except transplant can repair damage- and no way am I close to that, plus don't think they would do it at age 77 anyway...have a good weekend- have some fun- that is, make some fun :>)

that is tough- and sometimes I do well sometimes not so much...lots of other distractions. I try to keep a vow that if I reach dinner time I must do something- walk the stairs-around the house or if watching TV keep lifting those small weights up & down - to the side, etc. just start and aim for 5 minutes...You can and will do it- if not? that is when you will get to experience the unkind consequences- the downward spiral begins and you do less, then less 'n less- quality of life goes into the tank- do you really want that? no, so keep moving- I have managed with a few slips of months- to keep it up for 13 years- you can too :>)
