I want to let everyone know that being on oxygen does not mean life is over , I am 80 and been on oxygen 10 years and I normally do my own grocery shopping , I go to church , I can still do most of the house work, just don't stop because you have to have oxygen ,there are some things we can't do but a lot we can do.I have got the Shingles at this time , and yes they are slowing me way down , heck they hurt.

check out the citizens advice website and disability rights uk. https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/personal-ind...

They have a very good information and how to fill in the forms to get the points you need, they have a section on how many points you will get for each activity, but you have to give them as much information as you can and always go on your worst days.
you may ok some days and not others, go on the bad days.
check the questions over and over because i found out that the points do not add up if you put wrong answer, and you end up with 0 points.
Send in all your medical records to substantiate your disease and problem.
i hope this helps.
i have just been switched form DLA and had to apply for PIP. even at 67 .
what a waste of time. Had the problem for many years , do they think a miracle will occur and i will run marathon. idiots.

Hi, I've just been awarded PIP at low rate Mobility and care, I had a home visit and was very poorly,, I actually broke down in tears as I was struggling to breath. The criteria are very strict and I wish I didn't have to rely on PIP, i'd rather be able to breath easy, so good luck with your claim and my sympathy.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member PIP is a UK benefit paid to those who a disability, it stands for "Personal Independence Payment, I get about £70.00 a week and it pays for cabs, when I'm too poorly to drive and also helps me pay for my car insurance and fuel.
