Anyone Have Info About Spiriva Respimat???
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

i recently had my Spiriva handihaler ( the one with the capsules of dry powder) updated to Spiriva Respimat-the new inhaler that gives a few seconds of continuous fine spray-i have had an exacerbation lately (about 4 weeks ago) and still am continuously coughing and struggling to bring up the mucus and breath freely-i think my doctor feels this new form will help me more now that my COPD seems to have worsened - i have only been using it for 2 days now-does anyone else have experience using Spir… read more

When I was first diagnosed they had me on a lot of different inhalers, spriva was one of them, I for some reason stopped using that and stay on Symbicort with a duoneb (albuterol and budisonide) one montelukast tablet and everything else is just tumeric, ginger, and hot teas...I use other things that you will have to PM me if you want that information...you can find me on facebook Best of luck. Try being your best support system and very proactive especially with this so called Pandemic. We've already buried one family member he never made it to 58 yrs of age...

Old form of bringing up mucus ans I have had the same problem having pneumonia with sepsis this past 2 weeks. (hadn't coughed in 2 years.).....Lay on your bed on your stomach and hang your head over the side. This pushed the mucus up and out without as much energy being exerted. Comes up much fast. Old nurse told me this week. If only our doctors had this they'd know more of what worked.. Of course I would not wish this on anyone. It's horrid...We will survive.. God willing. Pray it through.

I was also changed from spiriva handihaler to the Respimat , I find it easier to use & pretty much the same results . I've been on it for about a month . I still cough mostly in the morning & at night .
