I was told i have have emphysema changes over 12 months and stopped smoking 8 months ago, i had no phlegm after stopping for over 6 months, but now for the last 2 weeks every affternoon my throat goes froggy and i cough and phlegm comes up not loads and it's yellow greenish ? not sure if it's my acid reflux because that does drive my throat mad or just from stopping and it's took to time to start to clear. So joined here to see if anyone else as had this problem.
Quick tip. Have a toilet roll the side of you ,then every time you cough spit it into a tissue and flush the tissue down the toilet . It's only mucous coming back up every time you cough , haveter two or three days you will start to notice less coming up ,it stands to reason it's only phlegm golng up and down your throat. An old doctor told me that, it worked for me it might work for you ,nothing ventioned nothing gained. Good luck. Breath easy
Get ALKALOL @ most any drug store, CVS etc. or Amazon. Gargle with 50/50 water & Alkalol . You can use it in a netti pot or nasal douche as well. It is a mucus solvent from back in the day.
