Nebulizer
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I use my nebulizer with oxygen as they do in hospitals, when my oxygen gets low this gives me necessary medication and brings my levels up.dr discorage this but i have only20% lungs that was three years ago,i am still not on oxygen,my levels usually hold at 92,but i cannot walk too far without stopping,ig it was not for nebulizer with oxygen i would have been dead.has anyone else doing this>

Like you I’m on oxygen as well as taking my medication on a nebuliser. The hospital said that I take my meds whilst still on oxygen. My doctor said the same thing,. So that’s the way I I take my nebuliser meds and oxygen at same time

hi jean,i have taken a six minute walk test my levels stay at 89-90 as long as i am moving lungs will produce, its when you stop i have 20% reserve left, this is when i need the oxygen to let my body recover and give the mussels and organs oxyge,.To make an example its like running your car with a gallon gas can,it will run fine but not very far unless you give it gas.I have done extensive research on copd did you know that high ozone levels in the air you breathe enters your blood stream through your lungs and has a reaction with your blood pressure for every10% of ozone everyones blood pressure rises 7%,and your platelets are affected. This is why anyone with a fib.has to make sure you take your blood thiners as you are prone to heart attack nor stroke..this has been researched and proven. Most of the new trials and research are started in europe where they are not manipulated and paid for by the drug companys.

hi,use oxygen with my nebulizer to distribute my medications combivent and ventolin when my lungs have excess mucus and my oxygen levels drop too low, straight nebulizer from a machine only distribute air and would be too late to open up lungs, that is what they use in hospitals to clear lungs.I have a portable oxygen concentrator i use if i have to walk a distance.sorry for the confusion.
