Members responded to the question about neck and shoulder muscle pain with COPD, with many confirming they experience similar discomfort, sometimes extending to the ribs, legs, fingers, and toes. One member offered helpful advice, explaining that people with COPD often use neck and shoulder muscles to assist with breathing when short of breath, and suggested diaphragmatic breathing, pursed lip breathing, and slowing down as ways to ease the tension. Several members also noted that sitting down or reclining helps relieve the pain quickly, and the thread had a warm, lighthearted tone with members sharing humor and encouragement alongside their experiences.

Yes I sure do, I have them in my rib cage, fingers, neck, legs and toes. Sometimes it is very painful. I rub muscle relaxer plus drink water.

When you breathe, you often use your neck and shoulders to help with breathing, particularly when you're sob. Those muscles often get tense and sore as a result. Try diaphragmatic breathing to resolve the problem. Pursed lip breathing will also help. And slow down......
