I am now using the Silicone tubing that is used for fish tanks. It is softer so does not kink as much as the standard tubing. But it too will begin twisting after a short period.. I have part of the tubing along the wall so that is not a problem. This issue is driving me crazy!
I use tubing from Softhose.com. It doesn't kink and works well. It's expensive, but does resolved the kinking and twisting issue. I do know people who've used the dryer or the microwave to get the hose soft and then straightened it out; that seeks to work relatively well.
I roll mine up when I am done with it. Helps take the twist and kinks out. You can use a swivel connector between your last 25 ft hose.
I have heard of a purple hose you can get on amazon that has a lot less trouble. I have Las heard some people pit it in the dryer for a little bit to soften it and straighten it out. [but I think it would harden up sooner]
Hope that helps. I only use mine at night and while doing anything strenuous.
I'm the person that bought the purple tubing from Westmed on Amazon. Totally flat when it was unrolled and it still is with no kinks or coils it just lays flat😃. A good price at about $20 for 5 25ft lengths.
Thanks for the information. I’m lucky in that my insurance has covered all my supplies. I did pay out of pocket for the Imogen 4 portable oxygen. Makes it so much easier to get out with them.
I get mine on Amazon. It’s purple and never kinks up. If you’re interested, I’ll find the info for you. I also roll mine up a lot because it may help but it also keeps your mind on the fact that there’s 30 ft of tubing around and to be careful.
