Anxiety
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone while experiencing anxiety get a flare up? The last few weeks at work have been kinda stressful and I’m wondering if that will continue to make me have flare ups.

Anxiety is my worst enemy against COPD and always makes my breathing worse along with my mind, breathe easy my friend. :)

Absolutely being anxious can affect your breathing. My Dr, gave me a lower dose of Buspirone to try---said we could go higher if needed.

Yes, yes and yes! I'm now very much of the opinion that if I get stressed I feel worse even though it might be psychological.

Absolutely stress will cause flare ups etc. When I was a young mother of 6, a wise old person told me STRESS is a killer. He told me to always have a hobby etc from every day things to keep stress away. I would always have a book to read or crochet, or help the kids to build a model car/plane. It did help with the stress! I had psoriasis at the time and it always flared up when I got stressed. When I learned to destress with books, etc it always helped!! Good vibes my friend 🧡
