@A MyCOPDTeam Member.. Absolutely not… they are up on health issues and ordinary meds.. But a Physic Dr is up on all those hard core Meds. Even pharmacist know more about meds then Drs. My daughter is on some hard core meds family Dr started taking her off some , which another Dr said you never take a person off that drug bang! It could have put her in hospital… Always see a Psychiatrist Dr and get evaluated from them.Just my opinion …Hv a great day:)

Yes they should be able to prescribe psychiatric medication,they have probably done a psychiatric internship in order to qualify as an MD .

I feel if anything is going to help then why not try it. So yes they should be able to prescribe them but they should be watch closely...
