My left eye has become blood shot, is this from COPD ?

Usually, it’s from coughing or sneezing, general allergies or irritations, or even something so simple as rubbing your eyes too hard.

Irritants come in many forms, and a bloodshot eye is usually minor. If it’s itching, causing you to keep rubbing it, something like Simply Saline (salt water spray) might rinse out any potential irritants in the eye or nasal passages safely (read the label for safe application / usage instructions), if rinsing with tap water doesn’t help first.

As always, only you know how long the irritation has been going on, so check with your doc if truly worried.

You’re most likely right, @A MyCOPDTeam Member as I have a friend who regularly coughs so hard she ruptures blood vessels in her eyes.
