Seems like 2 says ago there was an inch of snow on the ground. Now 50-75 Canada geese show up. Hopefully this means spring has finally showing up

Are there herbs or natural remedies that can help ease COPD symptoms? It's a question many people with COPD have explored!

Some people with COPD do turn to complementary or alternative therapies, including herbal supplements, and report finding some relief from certain symptoms. However, it's really important to know that these should never replace prescribed medications, which have been proven effective through clinical research. One natural substance that gets talked about quite a bit in the COPD community is CBD (cannabidiol), which comes from the cannabis plant. Because COPD involves lung inflammation, and CBD may have anti-inflammatory properties, some people feel it could help. A MyCOPDTeam member shared: "I have been using CBD for about 18 months. I personally have noticed that my chest does not feel tight any longer, and it also helps with mucus and inflammation."

That said, research is still ongoing and results aren't conclusive yet. There are also some risks to be aware of with CBD:

- Drowsiness
- Reduced appetite
- Stomach problems
- Mood changes
- Possible interaction with other medications

Before trying any herbal supplement or natural remedy, it's really worth having a conversation with your healthcare provider. They can check for any interactions with your current COPD medications and help you find the safest approach for your situation.

Yes. There are a lot of herbs that help COPD, lung issues and inflammation. Some in your kitchen right now, if you cook. They have been using them for thousands of years. I have found some that really help and others not so much.
***Always talk with your doctor about any supplements or herbal remedies you are using to be sure it does not affect the medications you are currently on.
I do not recommend CBD but some say it helps. I believe it is snake oil.
