Does anyone else suffer from extreme fatigue on some days? It has been extremely cloudy and overcast here's
lately. I seem to do better with clear skies.

Members overwhelmingly shared that extreme fatigue is a constant companion with COPD, with many describing days when they sleep 10 to 12 hours at night yet still need long naps, struggle to get out of bed due to pain and exhaustion, or experience such profound tiredness that completing even simple household tasks feels impossible. Several members offered practical strategies that have helped them manage, including monitoring oxygen saturation levels and using supplemental oxygen during the day when needed, taking high-dose vitamins like D3, B12, omega-3, and vitamin C, trying CBD oil or melatonin for better sleep, using Himalayan salt lamps, attending pulmonary rehab, pacing activities with frequent rest breaks, and finding gentle exercise like water aerobics or walking with portable oxygen. A recurring theme was the significant impact of weather on energy and breathing, with most members reporting they feel better on sunny, low-humidity days and struggle more during overcast, humid, or high air pressure conditions, while many also emphasized the importance of self-compassion, staying positive, leaning on faith and community support, and recognizing that some days simply require rest without guilt.

I am always tired. I wake up feeling like I haven't even slept. It's very frustrating and it holds me down.

Humidity, air pressure all contribute to making breathing more difficult and being very tired. It's so important to keep exercising when you can, breathing exercises will help our lungs need to get exercise, it's good to get out of breath learning how to breathe best we can. Deep breath through the nose then pursed lip breath out , as if you are breathing through a straw. Remember we are all different at different stages, some of us will do much better but we have to keep trying. Take care Love Tessa xxx
