Nebulizer
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone use a nebulizer? If so, how often and does it help with symptoms? Thank you everyone.

Use the nebulizer according to the doc's prescription. Don't exceed what the doc ordered. Many people use them daily and some several times a day, depending on what the med is and what the prescription says. Some feel that they get more relief from the nebulizer than from inhalers with the same med.

Nebulizeris a much better way to clear your airways and break up congestion and mucus Usually a vial of Albuterol and a vial of Ipratropium bromide or both meds in one vial (Duoneb) every 6 hrsI take a generic musinex when I nebulize and drink lots of water at the same time You can also use a.PEP device (acapella, pickel) to also help loosen phlegm. Keep working with it . it gets easier with practiceDAH

Hi I do use a nebulizer, Jean is correct don't use it more often than the doctor prescribes. My doctor prescribes albuterol up to 4 times a day as needed. I can take it fewer times but not more than the 4 times a day. It has most definitely helped my symptoms, it is easier for me than a rescue inhaler, I have a difficult time using the rescue inhaler properly, so the nebulizer helps me to use my medicine the way it is intended.
