This exact response it was occurred to me.My Home Health nurse contacted Hospice without my knowledge. But 1 week later & I Had them out here at 5AM.Went better than my expectations.I do intend to make the Hospital aware & dare them to charge my insurance company for no treatment.Have heard from 3 tohers with same Hospital/same Dr.Sounds like he needs to experience the suffocation I go through when needs exhaber.LWaid, I feel your tears & anxiety & yes I have been exactly in that scary place.Maybe enough of us speak up, Hospitals will listen.Or how about this?Insurance quit paying for turning us away??Money does seem to talk....
not all drs. are the same I was luckey enough to have a good one and I am still with him to this day.
She did quit smoking years ago...read before commenting, please..
I have had rude Drs myself. One made me feel like I was making up symptoms... I just tell them how I feel and when it stsrted and if I did anything different.
My Dr has called an ambulance to pick me up from his office and the ER Dr couldn't find anything what my Dr found and I was sent home not ever being treated for the pain in my upper back that was stopping my breathing to that point. Anyway don't let them make you feel bad just get another Dr.
I haven’t had a cigarette in 14 years
I watched a part of CBS Sunday Morning a while back--Ted Koppel's wife was on--she has COPD--and smoked long ago but she has a bit of what also helped with mine--Pesticides--I garnered alot of the chemicals through inhaling them and thru skin. ( I did smoke for 12 years too ) I did not know this, but 3 % of women have COPD........
Any Physician that treated you that way should be reported--it is a stigma--the majority of people do say--"OH--COPD?" "Well, you did it to yourself"........Bruce is right--if you ever go back--do ask for the Pulmonary Doc on call---
