I would be concerned about taking that much Prednisone. It can have serious side effects. In my case, pressure in eyes -glaucoma. Almost blind in right eye now. Eye specialist told me prednisone was to blame. Crush fracture of vertebtrae in spine. Severe pain. Put me in hospital.

It depends on what you're nebulizing. If you have a daily maintenance medication that is in nebulized form, yes, you should use it as prescribed, however many times a day you're supposed to use it.. If you nebulize something like duoneb, you should use it however many times it's prescribed. If you're nebulizing albuterol, which is a rescue medication, you don't have to use it daily; you use it as needed. Many people would use it with albuterol before they exercise or do something strenuous, just like you'd use a rescue inhaler. FYI, PRN does NOT mean every day; it means when you need it. I think your pharmacist was making a good point though: duoneb is an every day med. What you can play with is how many times a day you take it. You can also get the same medication in the Combivent respimat form. It's more expensive, but much quicker than nebulizing. If you can do a good strong inhale, you might think about switching to the Respimat.
