Sleep Apnea
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been waking up lately gasping for air. My lung doctor has ordered a sleep test. My question is. Could COPD and oxygen 24/7 lead to sleep apnea? I am already retaining CO2. Just wondered what the possibilities could be. Thanks!

Hi it’s a good idea to have sleep check. I did I’m ok. Maybe you should sit up more while on oxygen. The Drs will find out. Take care

In answer. Yes, My wife does sleep with me and we both use a C.P.A.P machine when we head for a nap or head for bed and ( hopefully) will get a good nights sleep. Merry does well in that department as for me. For what ever the conditioning response has on an old Soldier. Oh well, that the way it goes. If I get 41/2 hours of sleep. Same old stuff, different day! Naps are good. We kiss all the time and our breaths are good. God Bless, Rex
