Can anyone recommend an over the counter spray for dry mouth caused by oxygen? I was looking at some brands on Amazon but not sure what to buy. I don't have this problem yet, asking for a friend who is using level 10 oxygen and experiencing discomfort. Thank you!
Thank you all for the answers! I'll get her Biotene, forward the explanation, and try to get her to drink more water!
Hello Melissa. Please share the article below with your friend:

Labored breathing also magnifies the importance of staying hydrated with COPD. Some of our medications also cause overall dryness, but this connection is overlooked by many. IT is my personal priority to monitor this on a daily basis, including adding more fluids at bedtime for me. NOT always wise, I know. But it is called H2O for a reason.
Consider this equation:
LOW fluids level = Decreased blood pressure = Increased heart rate = Increased respiratory rate = Decreased blood flow to extremities = Lower oxygen adsorbtion = Increased stress on major organs.
It's a dangerous cycle, indeed. Be well.
I'd suggest your friend drink a lot of water instead. Ayr is a good brand for that sort of thing, but your friend really needs to drink a lot of water, too.
I agree. I also use Biotene. And I also make sure I drink a glass of water before bed. Often have to get up to use the bathroom but I usually sip a bit more water when I do. Good luck!!
