How do you cope with loneliness when it feels unbearable?

Loneliness with COPD is a real struggle, and you're not alone in feeling this way. Many people with COPD find that connecting with others who truly understand makes a significant difference.

Here are some ways MyCOPDTeam members cope with loneliness:

- Connect with others who have COPD through online communities where people share similar experiences
- Find a support person who understands what you're going through
- Practice self-care activities like chair yoga, walking (even slowly), journaling, or meditation
- Seek counseling or therapy to work through difficult emotions
- Stay engaged with activities that make you feel good, even if they're modified versions of what you used to do

One member shared that finding someone whose spouse has COPD helped them feel less alone. Another emphasized that this community exists specifically so people can discuss their struggles with others who understand.

Remember, reaching out like you just did is an important step. The struggle is real, but you don't have to face it alone.
