Mullein is a herbal plant that some people with COPD use to help support lung health. It's often used as a tea or in supplement form. The most commonly referenced type for respiratory support is Verbascum thapsus (common mullein).
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Mullein leaf tea is the most popular form used for respiratory support
- Mullein root and mullein flower are also used, but less commonly for lung-related concerns
- Supplements come in capsule or tincture form as well
It's really important to speak with your doctor before trying mullein or any herbal supplement. Some supplements can interact with COPD medications like bronchodilators or corticosteroids, so getting the green light from your healthcare provider first is the safest move.
There is limited clinical research specifically on mullein and COPD, so it should never replace prescribed treatments.

I probably means teas, tinctures, syrups or capsules. Recently researched applications for each one and which is successfull in helping. Ordered the tincture for sublingual administration. Will see. Like anything, one must be diligent in questions and knowledge. I knew smokes were bad but, continued anyway and here we all are.

What do you mean by that question? There is only one herb that is Mullein. There is no kind.
