Smoking anything will cause more damage than any benefits you could possibly get. I've never been into any kind of drugs other than prescriptions but it's my understanding that there's plenty of edibles and gummies so snack away if it helps you

Great question! The relationship between CBD (a compound found in cannabis) and COPD is genuinely interesting — and you're right that smoking anything is a no-go with COPD. But there are other ways to use it.

Great question! The relationship between CBD (a compound found in cannabis) and COPD is genuinely interesting — and you're right that smoking anything is a no-go with COPD. But there are other ways to use it.

CBD may have anti-inflammatory properties, which is why people wonder if it could help with COPD symptoms like breathlessness and chest tightness. Some MyCOPDTeam members have reported positive experiences, with one sharing that CBD helped reduce chest tightness and mucus.

However, the research is still very limited and not conclusive. Some small studies suggest it may help with breathlessness, while others suggest it could actually cause lung inflammation. Instead of smoking, CBD can be taken in other forms:

- Gummies or edibles
- Oils or tinctures
- Pills or capsules
- Teas

There are also some risks to be aware of:

- Drowsiness or mood changes
- Reduced appetite (a concern if weight management is already tricky)
- Stomach issues
- Possible interactions with other medications

The safest step is to talk with your doctor before trying CBD. They can help figure out the right form, dose, and whether it's safe alongside any current medications.
