I was on a low dosage of Xanax when I lived in Ohio and it really helped a lot and I only took it when things got really bad. Since I have moved to Georgia and have a new doctor he will not prescribe it and says that it is bad for me? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check with your doctor to see if your problem could possibly be what is called Schatzki’s Ring. I had a problem with it back in 1992.
