How do you deal with fluid like gurgling when sleeping at night, seems to be in the same area as wheezing, and doesn't matter if breathing is through the nose or mouth, which causes lots of coughing, swallowing and eventually vomiting

This is something to be discussed with your doc. I would suspect GERD, which is something that people with COPD often have and which can cause problems like the ones you're describing. It's not a question of dealing with it; it's a question of getting it diagnosed and treated appropriately. If you don't have a pulmonologist, you need one, and probably need to be examined by a gastroenterologist. GERD can present serious problems and you don't need those. Often people with COPD have "silent GERD" and don't realize the problem.

Try putting the head or the feet of the bed up
So you lay down slanted
Each person is different
It’ll also help with drainage
Stay calm cool collected safe and dry
Enjoy the rest of your evening

Yes see your doctor .Sounds a bit like something I get occasionally, used to have it a lot, id wake up with liquid very acidic running back up my throat and sometimes into lungs .I am borderline gluten intolerant so sometimes stuff ive eaten for tea doesnt sit, right then causes acid reflux.Doctor put me on omapresol. Im on a few different meds and that can cause it too.Not nice when it happens, you wake up choking and struggling to breath.Hope this helps.

I bought an adjustable bed and found that helps a lot with the gurgling and wheezing at night.
