A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone used the Sit and Be Fit for COPD exercise video by Mary Ann Wilson, RN? A respiratory therapist recommended it and just wondered if anyone has used it or others they can recommend? Thank you!

Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions For Anxiety?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was on a low dosage of Xanax when I lived in Ohio and it really helped a lot and I only took it when things got really bad. Since I have moved to Georgia and have a new doctor he will not prescribe it and says that it is bad for me? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

How To Do Purse-lip Breathing The Correct Way?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Am I doing this purse lip breathing the right way? I keep my mouth closed and breathe in through my nose and hold my breath as long as I can then push it out through my lips. It just doesn't seem to help that much.

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Next week I have a dental appointment to have 2 fillings and a clean. Up to me having COPD I have never been afraid of the dentist but now I am!! Its all to do with not being in control of my breathing whilst the dentist is doing his job. Anyone out there any tips for me on how best to control my… read more
