With the insane cost of inhalers in the US, has anybody here purchased them from another country? I have seen where the Spiriva inhaler only costs $125.00 from Canada, but almost $400 here! I need help as I currently don't have ins & the out of pocket is killing me!

This is more informational than a question. Since I am now in that "Donut Hole" with my prescriptions, my inhalers are extremely expensive. I have found out that Glaxo Smith Kline has a Patient Assistance Program where they will pay for my Anoro Ellipta if I qualify. I downloaded and submitted the application, which was very easy. They responded within 24 hours to my application and approval is still pending with the prescription info from my SilverScript insurance. They can assist with this… read more

Caution When Flying

I will be traveling from Florida to NC in a few weeks. I have both severe COPD and NTM. As of yet, I don't use oxygen but get extremely out of breath when doing a lot of walking, shopping, exercising, housework, etc.

My friends have told me I should get assistance from the curb to my gate, and again to the connecting flight. Also, they say I should get on the plane first and wear a mask the entire time I am on that plane.
