If Iβm talking I get very short of breath
It takes time but it can be done. I push myself and today I can do both. Donβt give upπ
When I'm having a flairup and it last for more than 19 days, I contact my pulmonary doctor for steroid prescription. That usually takes care of it after about 5 days.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member the passing out is in Colorado. I do have what they call absent seizures now, or partial seizures. I can feel them coming on and if I can sit down I can come out of it.
What exactly constitutes a flare up besides sob? What would the symptoms be and do they differ in each person?

I was diagnosed with mild copd
I have frequent infections. I have been on antibiotics 4 times from Oct to Dec. I am being followed by plumonoligst. I have undergone function test,, CT scan, x-ray, ECG so far. I will go for a nuclear test next week and then a stress test on 21st. Hopefully they will find out what is causing my shortness of breath,,cough, wheezing and chest infections back to back. I heard it takes up to 6 months to see results- hang in there
My doctor prescribed prednisone (sp) and Zithromax (sp) to be taken when I feel a cold or flu coming on. I have used them a couple of times and it seems to help, but who knows since I might have gotten better anyway.
I would appreciate hearing from others about their experiences with the drugs. I suspect they should not be used very often.
