My current medications allow me to go to work (office based) but I can't do any exercise or anything strenuous. I used to be so active and I get depressed and frustrated that I can't go hillwalking or cycling any more.
Has anyone had any success with alternative therapies? I'm thinking of things like acupuncture, herbalism etc. I admit to being a bit of a sceptic but I'm prepared to try anything.
I'd love to hear of other people experiences in this area.
I struggle with the smells of perfumes, cleaning fluids ect. So I don't think I would try the oils.x
I was wondering if you have & how long it took to notice a difference?
How do you get this machine?
My employer wants everyone to return to the office to work after 3 years of WFH , Since Covid I have been diagnosed with COPD. I have asked to remain with WFH to avoid infections. Previously the employer was ok with Dr letters recommending WFH. Now the employer is saying "covid is over". I need an form from a doctor certifying I need accommodations to work from home. Unfortunately it looks like the form wants a "am I disabled" yes or no question answered. My doctor would not fill this out. I am… read more

Had my first visit with a Lung doctor two months ago because I had a constant cough. My O2 was 91 and said he saw a small amount of fluid in one of my lungs. He changed my blood pressure med. advised me to keep taking my copd meds (Stiolto and inhaler) and most importantly my asthma med. I am due to return in 3 weeks with a new chest x-ray and to have some breathing tests. I exercise everyday with the Lift program, O2 can go as high as 96 when sitting down but can drop to 89 when walking. Now I… read more
The breathing tests are necessary to confirm a diagnosis of COPD. Without the breathing tests, it's a guess; educated guess, but still a guess that you have COPD, so it's a good thing to get it… read more
Was diagnosed with COPD and saw respiratory Doctor like once and they just never reschedule . I don't know what the deal is but lately my legs / veins have been really bad and the pain in my legs is so horrible and now they're saying I have poor circulation and maybe need vein stripped later down the road and I have to wear these compression socks.

I'm almost in the donut hole and take advair plus other meds. My doctor told me to try trelegy instead of the advair and that he could give me samples. I haven't tried it yet I see all the warnings on it. I also take nebulizer treatments with iputropiam and abuteral. I did read not to take the iputropiam with it. Just wondering if anyone else has used it yet and what do you think about it. Thank you
I am on the inhalor, I really don't have anything to compare to it. I would really like it if I could have a morning and afternoon dosage and I can but it would mean 3 different meds to do so. I have… read more
My Partner suggested some lovely excersions for next week end but in my mind I'm always thinking "What if my breathing is bad " or "I don't know how I will be feeling on that day "
Copd is a terrible disease. So very hard to deal with. I’m so glad of this site to speak plainly and say what scares us.
