Thank you I have not heard of it. I will look for it.😊
Do you get about the same saturation using the pulse dose as the continuous flow, or do you have to turn the pulse dose higher?
@A MyCOPDTeam Member No need to be sorry.....I just clicked on the link that she had there at the end of her post and it showed one for 110.00 I didn't really pay attention to where you can purchase… read more
My left nostril gets blocked. I use Ayr and q-tips to "grease things up" and often have a "booger scab" break loose. And I do use the neil pot and have used Mucinex D. This is usually a nightly problem. Being vertical seems to help. I sleep on my back with a wedge pillow plus 2 additional pillows due to my copd.
I have the same "yuck" in my my nose. If you use oxygen hook a humidifier up to it. The relief is almost instantaneous. Hope this helps. If not, plain old Vicks on a q-tip around your nostril is… read more
I am wondering if anyone can recommend a nasal moisturizer to help with dry and bloody nose issues.
I've read online that vaseline is not a good choice, I dunno. Of course you can't believe all you read online. I went with the Rhinase nasal spray which helps and they also have a Rhinase ointment… read more
Ok fellow oxygen wearers.
How do you keep nostrils from drying out, bleeding? I use water soluble cream but it just clogs up deep in cavity. I sometimes can't breathe in or out because of stuff in nose. I use syringes with warm water to flush out but lately it just burns..
Q tips help grab some of it. Is there something out there that I haven't tried? Nose spray, Vicks inhaler, nasal lube.
I use the humidifier on my concentrator. It hepls with the dryness. For me I fill it up half way. If I fill it fuller then the water comes out through the cannula.
use a humidifier! at night for sleep (keep it close) close bedroom door for best results
Thank you for responding. I don't use anything but AYR to help with the sores one gets from the continual air. No vicks.
I seem to be terribly short of breath when I use the pulse dose on my portable oxygen tank. If I put it on continuous flow, I don't have this problem. Has anyone else had this experience? Any comments or advice?
My portable oxygen is pulse only. You must breath in to get the oxygen. Mine does not have continuous flow .
Mine runs off & on all day long.
I’ve been sleeping with O2 at bedtime for a long time and have had no issues except for the occasional issue of the cannula falling out!
