Will Quitting My Inhalers Cause Me To Get Worse Quicker?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

My inhalers are making my blood sugar to rise sharply. I keep my diabetes under control normally very well.
I think its the steroid in Breo. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do? My inhalers. Breo and Tudorza don't seem to help my getting short of breathe. Turning my oxygen up helps though. Also recently on my own have started exercising. Breathing exercises, recumbent bike, and treadmill.

Prednisone 10 Mg - 1/day When And How Is The Best Time To Take It?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm at stage 5 and had been using the 4 mg tabs in the package with instructions that decreased the amount to take over 4 or 5 days. I began "cheating" and taking a tablet when I believed it would help. Usually when I went to bed and not every day - did tell my doc. After requesting a refill, he prescribed 10 mg tabs taken 1/day. I cut one in half and took last night. Jumping from 4 mg to 10 sort of scared me. I'd appreciate advice and/or thoughts from others on prednisone. Many thanks… read more

How Do I Know If It Is The Wrong Medicine Or Allergies?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

My doctor recently took me off Symbicort and Incruse and changed it to Onoro. I had neck pain so he gave me prednisone for 10 days. A few days after I finished the steroids I had shortness of breath. I am confused as to whether it was the change in meds or spring allergies that caused the shortness of breath. So now I am back on Symbicort and Incruse. The symbicort causes a lot of bruising for me. Has anyone else developed breathing problems 2 weeks after changing meds? Thank you.

Anyone Else Have A "raw" Tongue From Using Inhalers?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Question??? Does anyone else have a "raw" tongue from using inhalers? I have even started sipping a little milk to coat my tongue before using the inhaler and then I rinse and rinse and rinse and then drink a glass of water. But the tongue remains raw. It makes for a great diet....but I am getting hungry and thirsty.

I do not have blisters.....tongue is just red and raw. Thought of yogurt...but really do detest it.
