Need An Inhaler
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Can you give me a name of an inhaler that you use and like, I have to get another one from my doctor. I tried spiriva respimat, but it was top strong and it made me cough, I also tried advair, but that made my throat sore and my voice hoarse, so can someone tell me about the inhaler that they use....Thanks

I've not used Spiriva for over a year but I've been coughing a lot lately, so picked it up today to start on it. I use Salbutamol sporadically but should have it handy when I have a bout of coughing.

The handihaler is a dry powder med, the respimat is a mist. Generally the mist is much easier to take and give the same inhalation effort, probably gets farther into the lungs.
