Changing doctor?

Changing doctor?

Had a chest x-ray recently and a breathing test using a computer last week. Doctor said yesterday that x-ray showed everything was clear and good except a calcified lymph node anterior and therefore needed a CT scan and that the breathing test showed 65%. I asked him what I should be experiencing when using Stiolto (have used for about 3 years) because I am not noticing anything. He said that it should be throughout the day not actually noticeable. I am so confused in his response. Said come back… read more

Still smoking

Still smoking

Is there anyone here that still smokes after being diagnosed. I am looking for some support to quit. I have attempted it several times since my diagnoses and have failed terribly. The patches, gum, vape pens and even cold turkey (which I wouldn't recommend)! The Doctor won't put me on Chantix because I suffer from Severe Major Depression and the side effects wouldn't be good for me!!! Two weeks ago I had an exacerbation and the E.R doctor ordered chest x-ray.s He came back after reading them and… read more

Anyone else have a "raw" tongue from using inhalers?

Anyone else have a "raw" tongue from using inhalers?

Question??? Does anyone else have a "raw" tongue from using inhalers? I have even started sipping a little milk to coat my tongue before using the inhaler and then I rinse and rinse and rinse and then drink a glass of water. But the tongue remains raw. It makes for a great diet....but I am getting hungry and thirsty.

I do not have blisters.....tongue is just red and raw. Thought of yogurt...but really do detest it.

Do you ever wonder if you're crazy?

Do you ever wonder if you're crazy?

I was just reading some of the symptoms of COPD, and one of them was irritability. I didn't know that all this time! Sometimes I stop and think, Wait a minute, I pitched a fit about that yesterday. Why am I doing it again? Poor hubby! So I'm wondering, do you ever feel like you're losing it, or do you think probably you're no more loony than most people?
