Still smoking

Still smoking

Is there anyone here that still smokes after being diagnosed. I am looking for some support to quit. I have attempted it several times since my diagnoses and have failed terribly. The patches, gum, vape pens and even cold turkey (which I wouldn't recommend)! The Doctor won't put me on Chantix because I suffer from Severe Major Depression and the side effects wouldn't be good for me!!! Two weeks ago I had an exacerbation and the E.R doctor ordered chest x-ray.s He came back after reading them and… read more

How to straighten a 50 ft. green tube when taken out of the package

How to straighten a 50 ft. green tube when taken out of the package

Early last year I strung mine on our yard fence while the temps were in the 80s. Left it out for about 1 week. When I brought it in I stored it in large padded loops briefly until I needed it. Worked great all winter. But later in the summer I strung another one and the temps went up to the low 100s. And we had wildfire smoke so I couldn't go out and bring it in for maybe a little over a week. Again stored it in large loops. However now using it… read more

Do you ever wonder if you're crazy?

Do you ever wonder if you're crazy?

I was just reading some of the symptoms of COPD, and one of them was irritability. I didn't know that all this time! Sometimes I stop and think, Wait a minute, I pitched a fit about that yesterday. Why am I doing it again? Poor hubby! So I'm wondering, do you ever feel like you're losing it, or do you think probably you're no more loony than most people?

Cbd oil

Cbd oil

I have COPD, I'm 64 y/o and I have I guess normal aches and pains and stiffness in my joints and chronic lower back pain. I've been thinking about purchasing CBD oil and wonder if any of you use it. If so has it helped any with your shortness of breath? I've read a few testimonials saying that it has helped, I just wanted to check here.

Constant sickness

Constant sickness

Hi! I was "diagnosed" with asthma last year. Reason I put the quotation by diagnosed, was because the PFT results, it said "likely asthma". Since last November, I have had 5 bouts of pneumonia and bronchitis. Always starts as a minor head cold, moves down after 2 days into my chest. I currently have bronchitis right now, on prednisone and Levequin. Last time I had bronchitis (seems to be every other month) I was on prednisone and zpack. 5 days later it turned into pneumonia even with the read more

Does your utility company (Electric and Gas) offer a discount for people who have medical equipment?

Does your utility company (Electric and Gas) offer a discount for people who have medical equipment?

I know California offers discounts to all in-home oxygen users and I wonder about other states. I live in Wisconsin and they told me that I can't be disconnected and that I should buy a generator in case the power goes out. WE Energies also told me yesterday that they had removed my medical information from my file and I must resubmit.
