Has anyone who has taken the RSV vaccine noticed an improvement in their Copd symptoms?
Haven't got the RSV vaccine. My friend's pulminologist told her "don't bother". For me, I don't qualify for any health care in the US unless I pay a 10k deductible first so I'm leaving the country.
Good morning All! I was curious if anyone's breathing was temporarily compromised after the COVID booster and the RSV shot. It seems like I had a bit of a reaction w/my breathing but it's been a year almost & I just am not sure. Thanks.
I had a low grade fever and my shoulder where I got shot was sore .but didn't to bother my COPD.
There is a vaccine for RSV but in the US it is around $270.00 and not covered by insurance. This is second hand info and may not be correct. Also the vaccine is not covered in Canada by government… read more

ABG blood withdrawls are pretty painful but, the only way to truly measure your Co2 levels. BiPap is the way to go.
I have raynauds as well as copd. Pulse oximeters don’t seem to be accurate with this condition. Any suggestions?
I have read that the pulse rate is often inaccurate on oximeter. Has been true for me. Better to use BP monitor for pulse.
I must confess I am a bit nervous about this one as I have heard that folks are getting sick after this shot .
I received it about a month ago. It stung pretty bad when injected and my arm was more sore than with other vaccines. But no other side effects.
Proper heathy food, and a lot of walking and exercise. It really dose make a difference. It takes a little bit of work at first but you will build up strength.
Do you think it is a lot more likely that Covid could be worse even fatal if not taken the vaccine? I have my reasons for not have taken it and have been fortunate not to have gotten Covid. I know some of you are thinking “has she lost her mind”? … I really haven’t
I have COPD and have had covid. It would probably have been a lot worse if I had not had the jabs.
I have COPD. Was hospitalized for 10 days about 3 weeks ago after getting RSV. I was told I’d need oxygen on discharge but after having the walking test I didn’t need it. I saw my doctor a week after being discharged for a check up. I told her I’m still getting breathless, feel quite weak etc. Plus have a cough now I’ve never had before. She said this is your new normal. Your lungs severely damaged and they aren’t getting any better. Just try and enjoy your life. I walked out feeling just… read more
