I don't know what it means, but pulmonary told me I was in stage 4 and if I don't quit smoking and use a c pap at night that I would die in 6 months. Well they gave me a trilogy machine and it's up to me to quit cigs. Not so hard to quit. So far it's been impossible to stay quit. I stay so depressed. This disease has control of what I can do now. Is there anyone here that still smokes after being diagnosed. I am looking for some support to quit. I have attempted it several times since my diagnoses and have failed terribly. I have tried patches, magnets, E cigarettes and through the Quit campagain in Australia. The closest I have come to succeeding was with the patches until I got really sick with influenza A. Doesn't help when my husband is a smoker?
Try all of these. One will work for you and don't let your husband smoke in the house & make him eat peppermints after he smoke to take the smell away.

Try Nicolette 15mg Inhalators. My sister is using these and you can use them anywhere. Speak to your doctor about getting them. Hope it helps.
what convinced me to quit was finding out that tobacco companies manipulate the amount of nicotine to keep us hooked, I #ucking hate being used, So I haven't touched one since. Still like weed ;-)
I have mild copd.
Use two inhalers.
September i had chest infection which has left to with copious amount if clear phlegm and cough.
Have to use salbutamol too much to help me to expel phlegm.
Had two courses of steroids and antibiotics.
Stopped smoking for two years and FOOLISHLY STARTED AGAIN. Six month ago.
The more I try to quit cigarettes the more i smoke.
